His name isn’t well known, but his show on computers and technology on PBS was an inspiration to me. It was the only show on tech that I could watch growing up, and I ate it up.

I have a hilarious anecdote of using the bathroom with him at a HAMfest in Dayton in the 90s, but I didn’t talk to him then. It was only at CoCofest in 2018 in Springfield Ohio that I finally did get to meet him. Very friendly, and in his talk you could tell how much Gary Kildall (another tech pioneer that should be better known) meant to him. RIP Stewart Cheifet.
